What working with us looks like

You'll see what we're building as it takes shape, not just when it's finished. Then the cycle starts again, because your business keeps moving.

Building

We work where you work

Before we talk about what to build, we learn how the work gets done. The person building your software spends time with your team, watching the job move from one person and system to the next.

That might mean sitting with the front desk while they juggle the phone and a walk-in, riding along on a job, or finding out why next week’s schedule lives in one person’s head. The details that matter most are often the ones nobody thinks to mention, because they’ve been part of the job for years.

Your part

Straight answers.

Access to the people who do the work, and an honest look at the shortcuts, workarounds, and steps that never made it into a procedure.

  5. 05Office re-types it into the invoice

One job, entered three times. Nobody mentions it because it's just how the day works.

You shape it while it’s still a sketch

Before we build, we map out the screens and workflows and put them in front of you. You can see how the system will work, tell us what we’ve missed, and change direction.

Usually that takes a few passes — you look, tell us what’s wrong, and we redraw it. Nothing gets built until the sketch matches the way you work.

Your part

Honest reactions.

Tell us when something feels wrong, even if you can’t explain why. ‘That’s not how we’d use it’ is exactly what we need to hear.

? can a job belong to two crews

Deliberately rough. It's cheaper to move a box now than rewrite a feature later.

You use it before it’s finished

We build in small pieces and hand each one over as it starts working. You use it on real jobs while the rest is still being built.

Using the software usually brings out questions and ideas that wouldn’t have surfaced on paper. Catching those now means the next piece can account for them.

Your part

A little time.

Usually an hour or two a week, mostly conversation. We’ll show you what’s working, ask questions, and get your reaction.

Three pieces shipped, one still open. Each goes into your hands as it lands.

It keeps up with the business

Going live isn’t the end of it. The software keeps running and keeps changing, so the business isn’t working around it a year later.

A process you’ve outgrown, a report someone now needs weekly, a change a big customer asks for — each becomes the next piece we build together, and it starts the same way this one did: on site, watching how the work runs now.

Your part

A heads-up when things change.

Tell us what’s changing before it becomes urgent. A location you’re scouting or a service you’re considering is easier to build for than one that opened last week.

Clock in
The goal isn't a launch. It's software still doing useful work years later.

What happens after launch

Most of a system's life happens after it goes live. Here's what that looks like with us.

We warranty our work.

If something we built breaks, we fix it, and you don’t get an invoice for it.

Built to grow with you.

Your business will look different in a few years. A new service line, another location, a change in how the work flows — the system is built to take that on, rather than be rebuilt around it.

We keep it running.

You won’t be left running something you don’t understand. We host it, keep it maintained, and stay available when something needs attention.

It’s yours.

The software, the code, and your data are yours. If you want to move them elsewhere or maintain them in-house, you can, and we’ll help you do it.
